The book also deals with the narrative techniques in One Thousand and One Nights, and the precedence of these techniques in appearing on the literary scene. However, these techniques were not mentioned in the West, especially during the emergence of narrative techniques called "tale tale". Metafiction, which Western literary theory considers a product of the sixties and seventies of the last twentieth century. The book provides a full explanation of what the "tale of the tale" is, a statement of its various techniques, and its theorizing (its entry into the path of Western literary theory). It deals with the most prominent Western writers who have adopted some of the different applications of "Tale of the Story". He mentions the most prominent critics who have studied the techniques of "tale tale". The book also reviews the career of the Egyptian writer Naquin Mahfouz literary and its development, and discusses his short novel condensed: The Nights of the Thousand and One Nights, because the book One Thousand and One Nights represents the base and origin of Mahfouz's novel The Nights of the Thousand Nights, in addition to Mahfouz's adoption of a number of techniques for narrating the original Book of Nights and its characters. Naquin Mahfouz's novel is a modern novel that adopts the techniques of "tale tale", and the book reviews the literary career of the North American writer (John Barth) and the extent to which she was influenced by the narrative techniques in the book One Thousand and One Nights, and by the character of Scheherazade in particular. The book discusses John Barth's collection of short stories NIGHT: ELEVEN STORIES, AND HOW IT RELATES TO THE ORIGINAL BOOK OF NIGHTS AND ITS TECHNIQUES.
