What Is the Merchant Cancellation Penalty?
Merchant cancellation penalty is a fee charged back to the merchant upon cancellation of every item by the merchant due to the Item being Out of Stock, Item Discontinued, Auto Cancellation, Wrong Content, Inaccurate Price, or Shipping Damaged or Wrong Item leading to Cancellation.
Why Merchant Cancellation Penalty?
Every single customer and order is important to us—every order that the merchant cancels results in a loss of sales and perhaps a customer itself. Therefore, merchants are responsible for ensuring stock availability, price accuracy, accurate product cataloging & information, and the physical condition of the item.
How it works
When the products are live in the Dubai store, which means customers can view and place an order. Once a merchant receives an order, the order must be prepared and handed over to the Dubai store courier (or self-ship if opted for Merchant Courier). A situation where the Merchant cannot fulfil the order for reasons such as the Item being Out of Stock, the Item Discontinued, the Wrong Content, the Wrong Item Shipped, the Wrong Price, Damaged Item, or in the event when the order gets auto expires are subject to a cancellation penalty.
How much is the cancellation Penalty?
Merchant cancellation fee is equivalent to the Dubai store commission. Please refer to the following example.

What happens when the merchant does not accept the order?
Every order must be prepared and handed over to the Courier within a specified time. Failing to do so and leading to auto cancellation is subject to a cancellation penalty.
How to Avoid Cancellation Penalty Fee
Cancellation penalty can be avoided by maintaining a timely stock update, accurate pricing, correct content such as Image & product description, and action on the order before it auto expires.
